Have you heard about the Southampton Township Academic Resources (STAR) Foundation? Well, some of our Media Club students are willing to tell you about STAR!
This past fall the Southampton Township Academic Resources (STAR) Foundation provided a mini-grant to our School #3 Media Club to support the school district's radio station.
As a thank you to the STAR Foundation some of the Media Club students created commercials (wrote the copy, recorded, edited, added sound effects, and music) about STAR that will begin to air on the radio station.
Congratulations to our students, Mr. Nober and Mrs. Carpenter (Media Club Advisors) for a job well done!
Mr. Nober and the Media Club members also want to thank Mr. Al Camaione, our school district Technology Consultant for his assistance in the creation of the radio station. This included having the Technology Club build the servers for the radio station.
Thank you to the STAR Foundation who continues to support our school district through their generosity with funding mini-grants submitted by our teaching staff. The mini-grants enrich and supplement our academic programming through field trips, assemblies, technology and other special projects. As of June 1, 2016, the STAR Foundation has donated over $270,000 to the school district via the mini and major grant program.
We invite to listen to the STAR Foundation commercials made by our students and then consider making a donation to STAR, so that they continue to provide enriching programs to our students.
Here is a link to the commercials.
