Megan Barnard recently represented Southampton Township Schools at the 2017 Burlington County School Boards' Association Eighth Grade Dialogue that was conducted on March 16th at Moorestown High School.
The Eighth Grade Dialogue is an annual event that showcases exceptional students from Burlington County school districts. There were students from eighteen districts that participated in this year's event. The Eighth Grade Dialogue is a forum for the students to share their K-8 educational experiences with Board of Education members, school administrators, and their parents.
A moderator guides the discussion on a variety of topics that includes having the students share their opinions about highlights of their K-8 education, ideas on how their school district could improve education, and plans for their future education and career.
Megan was accompanied by her parents John and Michelle, and brother Sean to the event. Board of Education members, Donald Bozarth, Joseph Caputo, Russell Hann, and Jefferey E. Hicks attended to support Megan. In addition, School #3 Principal, Jennifer Horner and Superintendent Michael L. Harris were in attendance.
Megan was poised, confident, very personable and articulate as she answered the questions. When asked who has been the most influential person in her education thus far, Megan identified her parents.
We can truly say that Megan did a fabulour job in representing Southampton Schools. We are very proud of her! Congratulations on a job well done!
