Congratulations to Mrs. Chris Milke and Mrs. Pam Wells who were honored at this month’s Board of Education meeting as January’s Employees of the Month.
Mrs. Milke is the Front Office Secretary for School 2/3. Her job is to assist the principal and vice principal with daily tasks to help create a positive office environment. She was nominated by Mr. Meyer. Mr. Meyer said that, “Mrs. Milke is the cup of coffee in the morning to start my day. She greets me every morning with a smile that lets me know I am at home here in Southampton.” Mrs. Milke “was extremely surprised and honored to be the recipient of this month’s award.”
Mrs. Wells is a one-to-one paraprofessional in School #2. Mrs. Wells was “extremely honored to be receiving recognition as Employee of the Month. It means a lot to me that I am being recognized for the job I do. Although it was a challenging decision to stay after the privatization, I am passionate about the work I do with my one-to-one student. The joy I receive daily from watching him learn lets me know that I made the right decision. I can honestly say that I love my job and the people I work with.” She was nominated by Mrs. Burdsall who said, “Pam exemplifies the attributes of a dedicated paraprofessional. She works seamlessly with her classroom teacher to ensure that her students can access the curriculum.”
