School #1: Kindergarten Circus
This May our kindergarteners stepped in the ring at their annual Kindergarten Circus. There were lions, clowns, acrobats, and even the “World’s Strongest Kindergarteners” who all performed. Thank you to all the teachers and students who took the time to make this event great!
School #2: Spelling Bee
The first Southampton Spelling Bee in School # 2 was held on May 17, 2018. In order to qualify for the school bee, contestants had to place first or second in their classroom spelling bee held during the month of April. All students in School # 2 participated in the classroom spelling bees, thus twenty-six third, fourth, and fifth grade students competed for the coveted title of 2018 Spelling Bee Champ. In the end, third grader, Ryan Horner, beat out the competition and took home the trophy. Congratulations, Ryan!
School #3: Clash of the Classes
On Friday, May 25th school 3 students participated in our annual Clash of the Classes competition sponsored by Student Council. The competition is comprised of 10 student-run events. Students and staff raced on scooters, took half court shots, found chocolate kisses in whipped cream, and wrapped students in toilet paper! Our sixth grade class won the competition with over 1,600 points!
